I had a wonderful time creating this sculpture study last winter for this years 2025 Wisconsin Craft Member Biennial Exhibition. For some of you who have followed me for a long time, you might remember I used to draw and carve "cactus" imagery on my pieces. I thought the Prickly Pear would be a fun challenge to create in 3D for the exhibition. I recently tried using a cpu bottleneck calculator and it really helped me figure out where my gaming performance was lagging. It’s amazing how a simple tool can pinpoint which part of your setup is causing slowdowns. I was able to see that my old GPU was holding my CPU back.
